The Grinch
When December starts, there is no shortage of animated and hallmark holiday films to fill up your DVR.
With that said, there is no reason that TBS should be showing "Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas" this year on November 5th!
Maybe they need to go back and watch the movie again, to learn that Christmas isn't about bloated consumerism.

2011 Respect
Well another year of Christmas Creep is upon us.
This year some stores have put out their Christmas decorations as early as October 1st, citing that they need to boost their sales for the 4th quarter.
Let me repeat that thought: They're putting out their decorations early, TO BOOST SALES.
They're not doing it because they love the Christmas holiday, they're doing it because they want to use the Christmas holiday as a way to push people to go out and buy buy buy more more more.
I've said this every year, but I'll say it again: I LOVE Christmas. I love every part of it, and every year my house is one of the most decorated ones in the neighborhood, inside and out.
But I think by overtaking Thanksgiving and now even Halloween you're cheapening the holiday, and turning it into a greedy money grubbing time of year that has less to do with snowmen and reindeer and more to do with maxing out your credit cards.
Maybe I'm wrong, and maybe this year will be different. Maybe people will respect the turkey a little more (and apparently now even the pumpkin is in danger) but I'm not hopeful based on what I've already found in stores and posted here!
Stay tuned for more pics of stores pushing merch on everyone long before it's appropriate, and remember: ncbt! No Christmas Before Thanksgiving!

Hallmark Holiday madness
Honestly I'm not surprised to see Christmas stuff at Hallmark in the
middle of October, but that doesn't make it right!

Respect The Turkey
Every year it's the same thing.
Stores are so greedy to get their sales from Christmas shopping that they put out their displays earlier and earlier!
We all love Christmas and it's a wonderful holiday, but every time of year has it's place. At first the stores waited until the day after Thanksgiving to put out their displays. Then they started the weekend of Thanksgiving, and now they have their displays out the day after Halloween.
Some stores are even putting out their Christmas displays out before Halloween, a full three months before Christmas!!!
Christmas time is a magical happy time of year, but let's keep it after Thanksgiving at least. NCBT - No Christmas Before Thanksgiving!
